How the site works as of 11 September 2026
This page describes what happens when you use fearn.fun today. If any of it changes, I will change this page and the date above it.
Forced Mate keeps your rating, your solved puzzles and your streak, and Guess the Exporter keeps your best score. All of that is stored by your own browser, on your own device. It is never sent to me or to anyone else, and I cannot see it. Each game has a button that clears it whenever you want.
The site does not set any cookies.
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like every web server, theirs records that a page was requested, along with the address your request came from and the time it arrived. That is how the web works everywhere. I do not use those logs to work out who anybody is.
The lettering comes from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches those files from Google and Google sees the request. Nothing else on the page is loaded from anywhere but this site.
The form on the front page sends your address to Netlify, where I can see it. I use it to send you one message when a new game appears here, and for nothing else. Every message has an unsubscribe link that takes one click, and you can write to me at any time and ask me to delete your address.
The link at the bottom of the front page goes to Ko-fi. If you follow it, you are on their site and their terms apply there, not mine.
